You sat on the plush leather couch on the main floor of the Avengers Tower, enjoying the peace and quiet while it lasted. You see The Avengers weren’t the peaceful kind of bunch. Usually, Tony was always making Bruce hulk out, Thor was always yelling at the toaster to ‘release’ his poptarts when he forgot how to stop the toaster from… well…toasting, Natasha always had her hands wrapped tightly around Clint’s throat, trying to silently kill him when pushed her buttons and Loki was always messing with Bucky, while Bucky muttered things that shall not be named about Loki in Russian.  Let’s just say your dysfunctional family was far from normal.

Today however, was a different story. Loki and Thor had gone back to Asgard on a day trip, Bucky, Bruce and Tony had gone down to the lab to teach Bucky about the modern world, Clint was somewhere in the vents (and honestly you were not surprised) and Tasha was training.

You swiftly turned the page of your favourite book and begun scanning over the pages taking in the story. The only other person you knew who fully appreciated the unusual peacefulness of the tower was Steve.

Hmmm Steve~

The corners of your lips were tugged up into a smile as your thoughts wondered to the dreamy super soldier, your book now abandoned at your side. What was he doing right now? Probably sketching. Or thinking about you. Or sketching while thinking about you. Or sketching himself thinking about you!

Wait…What?

Never mind. You did tend to let you imagination get the best of you. But that wasn’t really a problem because Steve was your boyfriend.  You and Steve had been dating for a total of three months now. He’d always secretly liked you and you’d always secretly liked him so you were over the moon when he asked you out after a mission. Nothing like a near-death-experience to bring you closer together!

You really loved Steve. His baby blue eyes and golden blonde hair, his gentlemanly personality (as well as his toned abs: 3). Gosh he was perfect! The only thing was- he hadn’t kissed you yet, not once. If staring at each other’s lips while you thought the other wasn’t looking counted, then yes, you had kissed.

You hadn’t even noticed that someone was calling your name until you felt a warm hand on your shoulder. You (e/c) eyes followed the hand to its owner.

‘’Hey (Name), hello, earth to (Name)’’ The voice called

‘’Hey Steve’’ You responded

‘’Finally’’ he smiled, flashing his pearly whites ‘’I’ve been calling you for ages’’

He gently took your smaller hand in his, pulling you up from your place on the couch. The blonde pulled you into a quick embrace before holding you out in front of him by your shoulders.

‘’Sorry… I guess I just spaced out’’ you mumbled apologetically, not wanting him to know the real reason you were so unresponsive ‘’so, what can I do you for Capsicle’’. Steve smirked at the name you adopted from Tony, he quickly scooped up a red and gold box (Tony is so self-obsessed) and held it out to you with a sheepish grin. You took one quick look at the box before you burst out laughing, Steve standing there awkwardly the whole time.

‘’Ohh… S-sorry Steve…It’s just…A radio? Seriously?’’ You managed after calming down from your outburst. A small blush graced the super soldier’s cheeks and his hand rubbed the back of his neck.

‘’Y-yeah, I-I… I just wanted to do some sketching and thought I’d listen to some music but I couldn’t figure out how to turn that thing on’’

‘’ Well, I’m no Tony Stark and I’m no genius…but I can help you out’’ you joked

Taking the small radio from your boyfriend’s hands you flicked a switch on the side before the radio turned on. You quickly explained how to turn on, pause, play and turn off the radio to Steve before placing it on the mahogany coffee table and sitting, Steve doing so with you.

‘’Thanks Kitten’’ Steve said after.

‘’It’s no problem Cap’’ You smiled.

‘’And that was ‘The Way’ by our girl Ariana Grande’’ the host on the radio station spoke ‘’Now we bring you ‘Kiss You’ By One direction as suggested by one of our listeners.’

As soon as the words ‘Kiss You’ were spoken your thoughts instantly went to Steve’s lips. You looked up as he listened to the radio intently. Then an idea crossed your mind. You leaned forward and switched off the radio.

‘’Hey! I was-‘’

You cut Steve of by speaking up ‘’Yo J.A.R.V.I.S’’ You glanced at Steve ‘’Play the backing track for ‘Kiss You’ By One Direction please’’

‘’Right away miss’’  The A.I responded

You smirked while Steve looked at you, a look of sheer confusion plastered on his face. (* play the song now)  The intro begun to play and you opened your mouth to sing.

You walked up to Steve, a sway in your hips, as you approached the soldier you could see him visibly gulp. A smirk plastered across your face you let your hands trail up to his collar and fixing it teasingly before elegantly twirling away from him. Steve followed you with curiosity.

You exited the living room and did an Elvis Presley kind of slide across the hallway floor, arms outstretched, you then started hula dancing. When Steve finally reached you, he had cocked an eye brow giving you a ‘what’s all this about?’ look. You just grinned.

Whilst singing you ran to the island in the kitchen before taking a seat on it. Steve following at your heel.  At the ‘you’ you pointed to your lover before continuing.

You watched as Cap circled the island and sat on the other side.

You rested your head on his shoulder and kept singing, Before Steve had a chance to lean into you, you jumped up and off the counter and ran to the elevator. Once inside you pressed to button for one of Tony’s labs and as the doors closed and Steve reached it, you sang…

When the elevator doors opened you, you noticed the blonde waiting for you. Damn that super soldier serum.

 You sang teasingly as you tried to run from him. You knew, of course, that Steve would’ve caught you by now, but he let you have your fun before catching you at the hips. He lifted you into the air turning you around as he did so, you the planted your hand firmly on his chest for balance. You sang lovingly into his face

You leaned into his face, making the captain blush intensely.  You kept leaning in until your lips we’re only inches from yours.

You quickly jumped out of Steve’s grasp and ran away as fast as your legs could carry you. Your (hair colour) hair whipped past your (skin tone) face as you did. Your sweet voice echoing through the halls.  Catching some of the avengers’ attention as you did so.

Bruce, Tony and Bucky left the lab, Clint jumped down from the vents, and Natasha abandoned her training and joined in heading to the gym. Once you entered the gym Tony had randomly installed the avengers had assembled and Steve followed you in.

Steve stood there as the avengers (apart from Loki and Thor) sang with you, a look of confusion and amusement smothered on his adorable face.

Everyone instinctively looked over at Clint, and if looks could kill he would have been killed seven times. You kept up your singing and tried not to laugh as Loki teleported behind Clint and smacked him upside the head.

Steve turned his attention back to you, as he watched you approach. So many thoughts were running through his mind,’ Is she going to kiss me? I hope she kisses me, Should I want her to kiss me?  I wonder- Oh My God, she’s walking up to me!’

Once again, everyone’s heads snapped in Clint’s direction, he offered a sheepish grin before running away, Natasha right behind him.

‘’So (Name)?’’  Steve asked gaining your attention ‘’ Are you gonna let me kiss you or what?’’ He grinned like an idiot.

‘’I think you know the answer to that already’’

He then pulled you into the most passionate kiss of your life.

‘’Hey Capsicle?’’. Steve looked up from his sketch book to look at his billionaire friend.

‘’Yes Tony?’’

‘’Do you think if I sing a song about kissing, (Name) will kiss me?’’

‘’I wish (Name) would just hurry up and let me kill you’’
